Y’all. I am so happy with how this turned out! It was all guess-and-check and it came out the perfect size and shape for the arch we used! The only floral experience I had before undertaking this project was putting together my bridal bouquet, also with Sola Wood Flowers and artificial greenery. I spent a couple hours putting this together a few weeks before the wedding. It required a good amount of space, florals and greenery, floral wire and foam, and some chicken wire. Hand dying the Sola Wood Flowers to match my colors was a whole separate project. It was super fun and I wanted to dip a million flowers, but if you want to save time on your own floral arrangement Sola sells pre-dyed sets of wood flowers.

I wrapped 2 pieces of floral craft foam in floral chicken wire, giving it an angled base. It would have been useful to have an appropriate tool for cutting the chicken wire ahead of time. I had to go buy snippers after I had everything else ready for the project, oops! For the primary layer of greenery I used a length cut off a mixed eucalyptus garland I bought on Amazon, securing it every few inches with floral wire. I added smaller lengths of this Eucalyptus garland, also from Amazon. I spent days looking at artificial eucalyptus garland reviews and these were the tops. They extra long and thick, have no funny odors, and overall have a realistic look. I stemmed each of the wood flowers with the same floral wire and hot glue so that I had flexible control in adding them to the swag. I added the artificial silver dollar eucalyptus and dried lavender sprigs by stuffing them into the foam blocks.

We secured the swag to the arch using zip ties I believe, but this was a job that I delegated.
