Throwing confetti is such a fun tradition for your exit! It makes sense to make the tradition eco friendly, and dried flowers make a beautiful confetti.

You can buy it on etsy, which is a great option if you don’t have time. But it is soooo easy to make your own! And really cost effective – likely free.

My daughter/flower girl used this to scatter down the aisle and it was lovely. The little stinker reserved about half of the bucket to throw at mommy and daddy during “the kiss” unbeknownst to me. It was adorable and resulted in this picture.

I used lavender in EVERYTHING for my wedding, I loved having it as an element that tied everything together. I bought this bag on Amazon to make sure it was food grade for my cakes and it was about four times as much lavender as I was expecting, so I mixed plenty into my confetti.

My venue (aka the property my mom lives on) happens to have some massive rosemary bushes as well, so I made sure to to snip plenty for this project. I also gathered wild roses, and other wildflowers that I don’t know the names of. I dried the flowers with their leaves in the oven on the lowest temperature setting for a couple hours, checking them every now and again. I wanted them dry, but I also wanted to ensure they didn’t become discolored.

I mixed the flowers and leaves I dried in the oven with the rosemary and lavender in a large bowl. So pretty!
