Make up and skin care are expensive.
Beauty products can feel really inaccessible to those of us that are or have been… ahem… “financially challenged”. I had always done my best with drug store products, and to be honest, even some of those felt expensive.
There Are So. Many. Products.
Another challenge I faced with beauty and skincare products was that I just didn’t know what to use. I had no idea which products I would like or would work best for me.
How do I even beauty?
Finally, I had very little idea on how to actually use make up or skin care products.
The solution that has worked for me is Ipsy. I get to try a variety of products in deluxe sample sizes at pricing that works for me, with tons of valuable information on how to use the products!
Six years ago I started my Ipsy subscription primarily because I wanted to feel better about myself. I was a stay at home mom of a toddler girl who was interested in nail polish and make up and all the “girly” things and I was clueless. I never learned about skincare or make up, and never used anything but the cheapest drugstore or generic versions of EVERYTHING. I knew nothing and we didn’t have money to spend on even drug store products. I mean, a single nail polish can run the price of an entire Ipsy bag which contains 5 products.
Although the price has gone up, the value still remains. Each bag is tailored to my preferences in product type, sometimes I prefer to get more make up, sometimes I prefer more skin care, or hair care, or brushes and tools.
Ipsy also has a very useful blog chock-full of articles and tutorials on how to use the products you receive. It is a great place for make-up inspiration for every day, every occasion, every season, and every face.
